We were referred to this place by a local and it was a decent place for breakfast. It was good, but nothing to write home about. The sausage biscuits and gravy were good, as well as the coffee.

This is the second best breakfast place I've ever been to. They are so fast and the food is magnificent. No matter what you order, be sure to get a side of hash browns. It's worth the trip just for them.

We ate here two days in a row. Yesterday, August 14th, food was good and hot and service was awesome. Yesterday, was 4 stars..... However, today, August 15th, my order Belgian waffle and sausage was served to me cold, as if it had been waiting awhile to be served out. Waiter never came back around to see if we needed refills. It appeared as though this waiter could not handle the work load that he had in his station. Today, would be 2 stars!!!

Great selection. Super fast. Good food. Healthy options. Great service. We visit the beach weekly and visit here every Sunday. Enjoy, my friends.

Pancakes were good but served with fresh ripe strawberries freshly sliced was the what made them awesome to me! Coffee was good fresh and hot. Grits were seasoned right. Did I mention the pancakes were awesome? My husband had an 11.5 inch French crepe with Nutella in it, topped with freshly sliced banana and strawberries! Very good. Fast friend service, good hot breakfast, decent price.

Saw this on a Top 10 list for breakfast and noticed on their marquee that they had eggs Benedict. Fast service. In fact so fast that I knew the food was probably not fresh. Sure enough the hollandaise was from a mix and very bland. The English muffin was a little burnt. There were several meat option and since it was close to St Patrick's Day I opted for corned beef - it was canned and hadn't even been warned on the flat top, just microwaved. Nice job on the poached eggs. In addition to the typical calorie laden menu, they do offer a healthy workout menu with some vegan and gluten free options. Personally, I'm crossing this one off the list.

Amazing breakfast! I will definitely be back to this gem. They offer yummy gluten free pancakes! Server was delightful!! Coffee was great!

Was expecting an establishment similar to that of a Waffle House but was pleasantly surprised to find it was more like a Denny's... except cleaner! I was impressed that they offered a "fit & healthy" special side menu, which included lower calorie meals and meals for those who have special diets (gluten, vegetarian, etc). Being someone who has to order gluten free items, I appreciated the sweet potato pancakes. The side of sausage I ordered was a little dried out but overall still tasty. *Please Note: they mention on the GF Menu that there may be some cross contamination, so just be forewarned before ordering. Also I noticed at a couple of other tables, the sides of hash browns and corned beef and hash were ridiculously huge!

Excellent breakfast place in the Myrtle Beach area. Great service, very clean restaurant, and large menu with many vegetarian and gluten free choices, too! I ordered the San Antonio Breakfast Sandwich and it was delicious! It was scrambled egg, crisp bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado slices, and mayo on a soft bun. My husband had an omelet, my son had a french toast platter with eggs and sausage, and my mom had a Belgium waffle with fresh sliced strawberries and bananas. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Coffee was also excellent! This will be our go-to breakfast stop whenever we're in Myrtle Beach!

We are big fans of breakfast and breakfast places. Unfortunately Hot Stacks was a bit of a disappointment. We visited during a colder than normal February and we were hoping to start our day with a hot chocolate, but all we received were strange looks when we asked. Our next letdown was in searching the menu for a sampler plate. We tend to want a little bit of everything: eggs, bacon/sausage, toast, potatoes, and a pancake/waffle or two. We had to cobble something together on our own. The food was good, but not great. My fried eggs were cooked perfectly, but the potatoes (shredded hash brown style) were a bit undercooked and overly buttery. My wife didn't like the syrup or her pancake, but the rest of us thought they were okay. I didn't love the flavor of my sausage patty, but the bacon was well cooked and delicious. The two of us who had omelets gave them high marks, however. Finally, the service wasn't particularly memorable and the atmosphere was a bit dated. As you can see, this place earned a mixed review from us and we won't be going back.

What do I like about this place. There can be a million people here and the seat wait time is never more then 5 minutes. The waitstaff are experienced. Food comes out hot fresh delicious and when your drink is just about empty up look up and there is a fresh one there. Food quality for the price. Excellent. I come through town about once a month. I do breakfast so my rating is on that. As a note went to another breakfast place yesterday and it was piss poor. Check my reviews. Hope this helps

This place was pretty average, nothing special. The water tasted absolutely disgusting! The food was very mediocre. McDonald's has better food in my opinion. Grits were salty, Eggs Benedict had a fake hollandaise sauce, zesty salsa omelet tasted a little off, strawberry pancakes tasted like food coloring and were dry. The only decent item was the Greek-Cado rolls.

I'm quite picky with giving 5 star ratings, but I'd give this 4.5 because the food was pretty good (vote YES on the Nutella crepes with strawberry and banana); service was great and fast and it was affordable :) our kids loved it!

Loved this place. Great service and good food. We usually do IHOP but decided to take a chance. We were not disappointed. Our server Michelle was great and even did a swan dance for us! Will go back.

I'm not really much of a breakfast eater but ordered a biscuit and sausage gravy which is a guilty pleasure of mine so when in the South... Delish and something like $2. My little Princes had silver dollar chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, and fresh fruit. I managed to steal a piece of their bacon and it was good quality. My better half had a Western omelette which he enjoyed. Waitress was European, maybe Polish? So sweet and really accommodating when my little Prince #2 had one of his usual meltdowns over something mundane lol. Total $37 - winner!

This place is always packed no matter what day it is! The parking lot is a little bit difficult to maneuver in. Expect to park in the back of the building. Our server really had too much going on and too many tables to help. She never came by to give us refills on our drinks. My French toast was undercooked and soggy. The sausage links are HUGE...but they were undercooked as well. The other location of Hot Stacks in Myrtle Beach that I've visited in the past is a much better experience.

Food was as expected for a pancake place. Reasonably priced and big portions. Service was also on par for any pancake house. Would come again.

No way I'll go there again. Coffe was water flavored with coffee. Eggs benedict English muffin not toasted. French crepes were so over cooked you had to saw through and press down hard to cut it. Chewed on it like a steak. Worse place for breakfast.

Only went here once. The $80 Bill for a family of four to eat pancakes is insane. There is a wide variety on the menu but again... $80 for breakfast

Yucky food, good service. Short wait considering it is a holiday weekend. Was so hopeful based on yelp reviews, But we both got the country fired steak and eggs. Gravy was pasty and obviously not homemade. "Homefries" were deep fried cubes of potatoes with no seasoning, over medium eggs were hard. Way to expensive for the quality. I guess it's the price of holiday weekend vacation breakfast. Well find someplace else tomorrow.

Great breakfast spot! This was our first time here and my husband tried the pancakes with strawberries and I had the French toast. The pancakes were delicious and the French toast was great. The food also came out quickly! I would recommend this restaurant for all tourists!

I knew something was up when our food came out within 3 minutes of our order. Microwave ovens should not be your primary source of cooking. Pancakes were clearly not made to order. Rubber and had texture of stucco. Flavor was awful. Sausage and bacon were microwaved. I didn't bother to try the eggs. Management offered to fix, however we chose to move on. There are a lot of great breakfast places on 17. This place is clearly not one of them.

Awesome breakfast! There was a 20 minute wait around 11:30am but it was worth it. Quick and friendly service, delicious hot food, and reasonable prices. We will definitely return!

Really? ! ? How do you screw up pancakes or scrambled eggs w/cheese...go to Hot Stacks to find out. After a delightful week in Myrtle Beach we stopped here at 10am for breakfast before embarking on our 11 hr drive home to NJ (land of the 24hr diners that serve killer breakfast all day long). There was a line, but we were seated promptly and our server was very nice....then things turned. My son's scrambled eggs came out with partially melted grated cheese clumped on them and my pancakes were an undercooked pile of flavorless batter. The sliced banana on my wife's pancakes looked like it had gone bad 3 days earlier. To top things off, the plastic water glasses looked so banged up and dirty we were hesitant to drink out of them. You will serve yourself better by grabbing an egg sandwich from a gas station kiosk as you head out of town. Other reviewers who have found this place to be acceptable need to adjust their baseline- breakfast is not an exercise in shoveling slop.

Worst breakfast on earth. I ordered banana pecan pancakes and I got pecans with a tablespoon of pancake batter. My boyfriend had cold, stale french toast. No bueno, he says. OJ was gross, definitely not freshly squeezed. Coffee was awful, too. We knew we'd hate it here two minutes into the experience.

I must say this is my first time here. We walked in the the place was very clean and the staff was very hospitable! Now to the good part. The food was very reasonable from the price on the menu. We all agreed that the food was very good. Service was very good also. But the price and the food topped everything overall!

Hot Stacks was a good alternative to the Shoneys that we couldn't find. Just a 5 minute wait to get seated, food came quickly and was delicious. They even got my wife's custom order correct which is a miracle in itself. Prices were reasonable and similar to other breakfast places on the strip. Will return next vacation.
